Bert N. McKinstry

	Bert N. McKinstry, age 70, of Danville, Ind., died on March 23, 2002 in Indianapolis, Ind.
	Bert was born in Pinckneyville on January 2, 1932, the son of Leonard and Louise (Dietz) McKinstry.  He was a graduate of Pinckneyville Community High School.  He married Linda Hagler in Alto Pass on December 7, 1957 and she survives.
	Bert served in the United States Army and retired from Caterpillar Tractor Co. in Decatur in 1987 as an inspector.  He lived in Mt. Zion from 1957 until 1989.  Bert attended the Northview Christian Church in Danville, Ind.
	Survivors include his wife, Linda; a daughter, Cathrine A. Friedman of Avon, Ind. and two brothers, Leonard McKinstry and George McKinstry, both of Pinckneyvillle.  He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Gale McKinstry; a sister, Helen Bigham and a brother, Floyd McKinstry.
	Funeral services were held at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville on Wednesday, March 27 at 10 a.m. with Speaker Howard Aughinbaugh officiating.  Interment was in the Alto Pass Cemetery in Alto Pass.
	Visitation was at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 26 from 5 until 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until services.
	Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Lung Association.
